10:23 pm - I don't SEE a punching bag when I look in the mirror
Ludicrously, after five months silence from their side, my agent contacted me out of the blue as though nothing had happened. It hadn't, but you know what I mean. She wished to run a position by me, covering the arses of a not-for-profit animal-centric business. Went through the whole thing and there was nothing that bothered me in terms of not being able to do it (blindfold backwards, standing on my head). Pays properly too. Essentially they'd been trying to fill a slot for some time, coming at it from one side, and failed, so the agent had restructured the brief with them and up I popped like a six week old corpse in a swimming pool.

After about fifteen minutes she rang of saying she'd get put my name forward and see what they said.

That was two weeks ago.

On the positive side, if this organisation has taken THIS long to get anything done (part of the reason they need someone...) then it may just be it's taking forever for the people concerned to deal with the recommendation(s).

On the realistic side, bearing in mind the course of my life to date, yeah right.
